READING

Mrs. Lily is in the classroom in the morning.

Mrs. Lily: Good morning, children! Please sit down on the carpet.

The children gathered together on the carpet and sat in a circle. Assembly time was calm and structured, helping the toddlers feel secure and ready to learn.

Mrs. Lily: OK, Let's see..., Today,  Mary is the captain.

Mary stands up, she feels happier than ever!

Mrs. Lily: Let's check the list!

She checks the class list of attendance. She wants to see if everybody is in class and calls the names:

Alice?” “Here!

Mary, who is the helper, puts Alice picture on the board

Ben?” “Here!”

"Tom?" ( No answer). "He's missing today. Some students are not at school today because they are ill.

Tom is ill. He has a fever and a cough. Sara is ill too. She has a cold and a sore throat.

Mrs. Lily: Hope they get well soon! We hope they feel better.

Alice: Teacher, I don’t feel very well.
Teacher: What’s wrong Alice?
Alice: I have a cold. My nose is runny and I keep sneezing.

Mrs. Lily: Thank you for telling me. Please sit near me.
Charles: Teacher, I don’t feel good either.
Mrs. Lily: What happened?
Charles: I hurt my knee when I fell yesterday. It still hurts.

Mrs. Lily: I understand. I will inform your parents, don't worry.

Mrs. Lily begins to ask the children about the day. Together, the class repeats the words slowly: Monday! Then, they talk about the date and the month, using songs to make it fun and easy to remember.

The teacher moved on to the weather routine. she asked the children to look outside the window and observe the sky. She encouraged them to describe what they could see, such as clouds, sunshine, rain, or wind.

Mrs. Lily: What's the weather like? Is it sunny or cloudy?

Mary is the captain today, so she is the “weather helper” too. The child walks to the weather chart and selects the picture that matches the weather of today. The class repeats the weather words together. The teacher then asks simple questions like whether they needed a jacket or an umbrella, connecting the weather to real-life choices.

Mrs Lily observes closely, making sure everyone is paying attention and feeling comfortable. She helps guide a child who is unsure and praises others for participating.

Mrs Lily: Good job Alex! Excellent Emma! Great Alice, you are an amazing captain!

The routine helps the children understand time and sequence. Assembly time ends with a cheerful greeting song, setting a positive tone for the rest of the day. All sing along the song "🎶Good Morning, How are you?🎶
